Personal

I was born in the Bronx and raised by a sexy Italian-vigilante father and a beautiful tough Polish American mother. They taught me about  honor, hard work, dramatic phrases in different languages, and how to make the perfect lasagna.  As long as I remained an honor student I was allowed to drink whiskey.  Eventually I headed west where all the crazy hippies kidnapped me and called me ZigZag (due to my extreme introverted and extroverted phases.) I changed my name legally (with my mother’s blessing)  so that frat boys and business men would stop asking me if that was my “real” name.  In my spare time I dance, meditate, recite poetry, rock climb, eat well,  and play hard.

Professional

My range of experience spans all kinds of adventures:  I worked for three years at PostScript, Inc, a leading public relations agency in New England, wrote radio commentary for The Point, a popular radio station in Vermont, taught multiple writing workshops throughout New England and Portland, Oregon, and was a founding member for the Bill Gate’s Gateway College Program at Portland Community College (GTC). I worked at GTC for five years as a project manager, instructor,  and career coach. I took my show on the road and started my own coaching practice in 2005 and have enjoyed the process of helping others achieve there greatest dreams and goals. In 2007 I was the sales coach for the Portland Area Radio Council where I developed and created sales  presentations. I have also written and developed websites, marketing collateral, and scripts. Poet

My poetry invigorates the soul and spices up the senses. My favorite kind of poetry is spoken word, or performance poetry that speaks to a wide range of audiences. I’ve been published in Jeopardy Magazine and the Minetta review. I am also the winner of the 2006 Wordstock Poetry Contest.

Education

I have an MFA in writing at Eastern Washington University and received my BA in writing from New York University.  I also received my solution-focused coach training at Erickson College.
